We need your support!

the CHAOS kitty jar is empty.
It is time for something radical.

Our new theatre workshop component, Revolution Theatre, is getting ready to launch. I say we launch a 360 revolution. (get it?) so to keep the CHAOS wheel turning...

We need people to go the distance!

36 days, to raise $3,600 to cover 360 days of basic operating expenses. Of course, this only covers our phone, electric, water and a fragment of our gas. but it keeps us going.

Art Activists can donate $90
Rebels can donate $180
Revolutionaries $360

Wish List

Anything and everything you can donate will help - and that doesn't always mean money. For example....

We could really use someone to plow the parking lot when it snows.

We could use a few gently used file cabinets (preferably 2 drawer cabinets).

Oh yeah... and someone to set up and explain how to use kiln.

Items we are always in need of include:

  • stamps
  • paper towels
  • toilet paper
  • copy paper
  • hand soap
  • dish soap
  • 901 HP printer cartridges
  • sponges
  • toilet bowl cleaner
  • all purpose cleaner for floors
  • window cleaner

One of the best and easiest ways to support CHAOS is to help CHAOS support our local, independently owned businesses!

Donate MasterCard or Visa gift cards!

MasterCard and Visa gift cards are an easy way for CHAOS to support our independently owned local businesses when we need to purchase art supplies, books, have copies or promotional materials made, buy cleaning and repair supplies, or pay the bills, etc! These gift cards can also be used to pay and support independant contractors and craftsmen for repairs and upgrades to our building.

We are the Community House of Arts in Ottawa- support CHAOS in supporting our Community!

Why CHAOS Needs Your Support

When you looked at our photo gallery, you saw that CHAOS won the first place prize, in the non for profit category, at the 2008 Scarecrow Festival. To our great delight, this award provided us with our first outside "seed" money.

Our "Starving Artists" scarecrow display exhibited a tongue in cheek look at famous artists, while casting Lincoln in the role of Hamlet, quoting: "Alas poor Douglas".

The myth is of the "starving artist" is perpetuated for a reason - the artists' creation is born of passion, not profit. However, even the most humble artist needs supplies and a dry place to create....

One of the primary objectives of CHAOS is to make outstanding arts experiences accessible to all members of the community.

We will do this by keeping class fees affordable, and offering scholarships or "in kind" exchanges for those who qualify for assistance, or wish to give back to the center through volunteerism, mentoring or teaching.

To provide materials, keep our instructors coming back and ultimately, a roof over our heads, we need your support!
